Affiliated doctoral researcher Martyna SZOJA of the Research Training Group GRK 2833 “East Asian Futures” has been selected by the Comprehensive Test Ban Treaty Organization (CTBTO) in cooperation with the Center for Energy and Security Studies (CENESS) to join this year’s cohort of young researchers for the highly competitive CTBTO Research Fellowship 2026.
The fellowship programme is designed to foster young professionals in nuclear nonproliferation, disarmament, and arms control, offering them a chance to network with international experts, to meet their peers, and to polish their research and writing skills in the field. Following a webinar series on key CTBT-related topics, the programme will feature a group research project as one of its core components. Receiving guidance from the organizers, selected participants will conduct research in multinational teams on critical CTBT-related issues, publishing their findings in the CTBTO’s annual e-paper.
The Research Training Group congratulates Ms. SZOJA on her successful fellowship application and wishes lots of inspiration, creativity, and fruitful collaboration with fellow young experts, academics, and scientists, as well as a successful fellowship and an impactful final publication!
