This week, the Research Training Group GRK 2833 “East Asian Futures” will host a lecture by Mercator Fellow Prof. Lin-Chun WU, PhD. The lecture is titled “Engineering China: Modern Infrastructure, Transnational Engineers, and the Governance of the Everyday State” and will be held on Friday, October 17, 2025, 10:00 AM in the seminar room GABF 04/409 on the RUB campus. Lin-Chun WU is currently a professor of history at National Taiwan Normal University. Her primary interests are modern China history and the postwar Taiwan-U.S. relations. She has been a visiting scholar at the Weatherhead East Asian Institute, Columbia University and a Fulbright Scholar at the Fairbank Center for Chinese Studies, Harvard University.
