GRK 2833 aims to solicit doctoral dissertations that study and explain in what respects projections and conceptions of the future emerged, on what premises they were based, and how these projections and conceptions have been and continue to be applied to the paradigmatic fields of Language, Religion and Ideology, Self and Society, Resources and Technology, and Sovereignty and Governance.

The research subthemes are designed to support excellent cross-disciplinary doctoral research. Subsequently we define specific topics of possible doctoral dissertations and the connections of the subfields, and the four modes of future conceptions outlined above. The topics are intended as optional suggestions. Possible supervisors and co-supervisors are mentioned, but these are not final and can be changed according to the requirements of the individual research topics.
